You know that a conference is getting close when they release the names of the planned keynote speakers. I know some folks who make a point of avoiding keynote addresses, but at a conference like Interop the keynotes can be a great way to get a feel for where the industry is going, seen from the vantage point of executives who, often as not, have a hand in moving the industry in one direction or another.
This year in Las Vegas, the keynote speakers scheduled to speak include:
- Russ Daniels, VP and CTO, Cloud Services Strategy, Hewlett-Packard Company
- Dr. Mark Stuart Day, Chief Scientist, Riverbed Technology
- Marius Haas, Senior VP and General Manager, HP ProCurve Networking, Hewlett-Packard Company
- Dr. Stephen Herrod, CTO, VMware
- John McAdam, President and CEO, F5 Networks
- Paul McNab, VP, Enterprise & Mid-Market Solutions Marketing, Cisco
- Stefan Öberg, GM and VP, Skype for Business
- Vishal Sikka, CTO, SAP
- Dave Stevens, CTO, Brocade Communications Systems, Inc.
- Ric Telford, VP, IBM Cloud Services
- David Yen, Executive VP and General Manager, Data Center Business Group, Juniper Networks
- Art Wittmann, Managing Director, InformationWeek Analytics
For an up-to-date list of the scheduled speakers and their planned topics, you can head over to the Interop Keynote Speaker page and check out the details (including the time and date of speeches). The keynotes run across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the conference, so you should be able to catch a speech or two, even if you have a busy conference schedule planned.
