I’m proud to announce that Interop Las Vegas 2011 has selected Donorschoose.org as its official event beneficiary in order to support math and science education in Las Vegas public schools, and contribute to the creation of a new generation of engineers, developers and IT leaders.

We selected several math and science classroom projects from moderate to high poverty Las Vegas public schools whose requests include ipads, ipods, CD-Roms, calculators, cameras and wind power kits, among other items.  All of these teachers and kids need your help to include these teaching aids and materials in their curriculum. Public schools in Las Vegas and the entire country need all the support they can get, and we’re proud that Interop can make this contribution to the community that hosts it.

We’re asking Interop attendees, exhibitors, speakers and community members to join us in our support by either donating directly via the Interop Giving page, or filling out evals for any conference or sponsored sessions, or workshop attended.  All attendees will be emailed an evaluation form 15 minutes before the end of any sessions attended.  For every eval completed, we’ll make a donation to our Donorschoose.org classroom projects.

And thank you in advance for your support of Interop and UBM Techweb’s commitment to helping improve math and science education in Las Vegas public schools!

See everyone in a  few weeks at Interop.
